About Us

A Place To Call Home,
For A Meaningful New Life.

New Start Inc. (NSI) Is A Maryland Non-Profit Assisted Living Facility Serving Baltimore County for over 3 decades. We Provide Compassionate, Home-Style Residential Care For Adults and Seniors with special needs.

Our Story

Small On Purpose. Personal By Design.

New Start Inc. (NSI) was founded on a simple belief. That aging, or living with a Developmental Disability, should never mean losing your home, your voice or your dignity.

We are a non-profit organization providing residential services to Individuals with Intellectual And Developmental Disabilities and to Seniors who need daily support. Our agency adheres to the concept of normalization principles within a delivery system, utilizing the developmental model for residential living.

Together with Families and personal Physicians, we ensure each Individual receives just what they need, just when they need it.

What Guides Us

Four Values. Every Single Day.

Dignity First

Every Individual is an adult with a story, preferences and choice. We honor that in every moment of care.

A Real Home

Not a facility and not an institution. A quiet residential home in a real neighborhood with a real kitchen and a real porch.

Family Operated

You will speak to the people who run this home. No corporate call center and no layers.

Individualized Care Plans

A team approach with each Individual's Physician and Family. Plans are built around the Individual, not the schedule.

Every Sunset Is A Promise Of A New Beginning.

Talk to a real person today. No call center and no pressure. Just a warm conversation about your Family member.
